2017 – Took sixth in the 3rd Annual UIS Prairie Stars Invitational with a 6K PR of 19:50.3, which is the fifth-fastest time in school history … raced to 8K season best of 26:45 in the Illinois Intercollegiate, which is tied for the ninth-fastest time by a UIS sophomore … matched his 8K season best in the GLVC Championships with a time of 26:45.16, which is the ninth-fastest time by a UIS sophomore … ran to 10K season best (34:02.5) in the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships.
 
2016 – Captured third in the Orion Mini Meet with a 5K PR of 16:16, which is the third-fastest time in school history … charged to 10K PR of 33:20.72 in the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships, which is the fourth-fastest time in school history … locked up third in 2nd Annual First-Ever Meet with a 6K season best of 20:08.34, which is the eighth-fastest time in school history … earned 27th in the college division of the Gil Dodds Invitational with an 8K season best of 26:50.9.

2017-18 – Posted 3,000 PR (8:59.322) in GLVC Championships … captured third (8:59.360) in the college division of the 3,000 in the Snow Bird Open … posted 5,000 PR (15:42.22) in the first GVSU Big Meet … claimed 1-mile PR (4:31.91) in the second GVSU Big Meet.

2017-18 – Powered to third in the college division of the 5,000 in the Augustana Viking Olympics, which a school-record time of 15:20.89 … earned 3,000 steeplechase PR (120:22.05) in the Southwestern Invitational … ran to 1,500 PR (4:16.89) in the Big Blue Alumni Meet … claimed 3,000 PR (8:55.41) in the Rose-Hulman Twilight.
 
2016-17 – Locked up fourth in the 3,000 steeplechase in the Big Blue Alumni Invitational with a season best of 10:27.78 … recorded 1-mile PR (4:37.80) in the Rhodes College Opener.
 
HIGH SCHOOL:
Competed in cross country and track and field with Wheeling High School for four years … clocked 1,600 PR of 4:28 … raced to 3-mile PR of 15:24 … put together 3,200 PR of 9:35.
 
PERSONAL:
The son of Valentin and Irene Nabatov … has one sibling, Dennis … a Business Administration major with a concentration in Management.

I chose UIS because it is an in-state Division II program close to home.
