2017-18 – Took sixth in the college division of the 800 in the Jim Green Invitational with a school-record time of 2:00.27 … clocked a 600 school-record time of 1:29.42 in the Titan First Chance Meet … fielded 4x400 relay, which posted a school-record time of 3:33.85 in the second GVSU Big Meet … earned 10th (2:05.35) in the 800 in the Snow Bird Open … represented 4x400 relay, which finished fifth (3:36.181) in the Snow Bird Open … turned in 1-mile PR (4:31.32) in the second GVSU Big Meet.
 
OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD
2017-18 – Raced to 3,000 Steeplechase PR (10:07.62) in the GLVC Championships … claimed sixth (10:15.34) in the 3,000 Steeplechase in the Greenville Select Meet … posted a 1,500 PR (4:15.79) in the Augustana Viking Olympics … secured 13th (4:24.49) in the 1,500 in the Southwestern Invitational … put together 800 PR (2:02.59) in the ESU Spring Open … turned in 3,000 PR (9:13.48) in the Rose-Hulman Twilight … ran to 5,000 PR (17:06.25) in the Dr. Keeler Invitational.
 
HIGH SCHOOL:
Competed in cross country for three years with Mahomet-Seymour High School in Mahomet (Sophomore-Senior) … competed in track and field as a senior … led 4x800 team to fourth in Illinois High School Association (IHSA) 2A State Meet to earn all-state honors … raced to a PR 800 split of 2:00 in the state finals … 4x800 team claimed first (8:11.56) in the IHSA 2A sectional meet … team locked up first in IHSA 2A sectional meet for track and field … team captured first in IHSA 2A State Cross Country Meet as a senior … team secured second-place finishes in IHSA 2A State Cross Country Meet during sophomore and junior years … team claimed three IHSA 2A sectional crowns in cross country (Sophomore-Senior) … team earned three IHSA 2A regional titles in cross country (Sophomore-Senior) … clocked 5K PR of 16:30 as a senior … competed in soccer for two years (Freshman, Sophomore) … team claimed IHSA 2A regional title.

The son of Nathan and Kirsten Elkins … has one sibling, Katelyn … a Business Administration major with a concentration in Finance.

I chose UIS because I wanted to come to a school that was the perfect size for me.
