Homecoming 2026

When: Oct. 4-10, 2026

Where: University of Illinois Springfield, various locations (TRAC, Kiwanis Stadium, etc.)

Celebrate Homecoming with a Prairie Stars soccer doubleheader at Kiwanis Stadium, featuring Women’s Soccer at 4 p.m. and Men’s Soccer at 6:30 p.m., plus a Homecoming Tailgate from 5:00-7:30 p.m.
Join the Prairie Stars for a fall scrimmage doubleheader against Lincoln Land Community College at the UIS Softball Field. Admission is free.
Catch the Prairie Stars at historic Robin Roberts Stadium as UIS Baseball takes on Lincoln Land Community College in an offseason scrimmage. Admission is free.
Bring the energy to TRAC Arena for a night of high-level college volleyball, giveaways for UIS students, a DJ and plenty of Star spirit.
Celebrate the newest members of the Prairie Stars Hall of Fame and honor their lasting impact on UIS Athletics. Registration Information
Join Prairie Stars fans and alumni for Homecoming Volleyball at TRAC Arena. The evening includes special recognition of the UIS Athletics Hall of Fame.

Homecoming at UIS features a mix of exciting athletic competitions and signature events that bring the Prairie Star community together. Throughout the week, fans can cheer on UIS with soccer and volleyball matchups, reconnect with fellow alumni at special gatherings, and take part in campus-wide traditions.

From spirited game days to memorable evenings with friends and teammates, Homecoming offers something for everyone to enjoy.

Athletics Alumni! Join us in designated alumni spaces during Homecoming games. Catch up with fellow Prairie Stars, cheer on UIS, and celebrate what it means to be a part of our athletics family!

Homecoming 2025 Highlights

Thanks to everyone who joined us for Homecoming 2025—it was such a fun week celebrating with our Prairie Star community. From reconnecting with alumni to cheering on our teams, it was great to have so many of you back on campus.

We hope to see you again in 2026 as we continue to grow this tradition, bring even more alumni together, and enjoy another beautiful fall weekend at UIS.
