The UIS men's golf team concluded its 2025-26 season with an overall record of 45-48-1 against Division II opponents and two tournament victories. Under the guidance of new head coach Josh Edison, the Prairie Stars demonstrated remarkable resilience and progress.

In the postseason, UIS showcased their best performance in three years, finishing 8th out of 13 teams at the GLVC Championship. This marked an improvement from its 10th-place finish in 2025. Vilgot Arleback led the Prairie Stars at the championship with a three-round total of 222 (74-72-76), earning a tie for 15th place.

The season was highlighted by a sweep of the Dan Salisbury Memorial Collegiate Invitational titles, as Sacha Lamraski claimed the individual championship in a two-hole playoff and the Prairie Stars pulled away late to secure the team title.

In addition to their home success, the Prairie Stars triumphed at the Flyers Spring Invitational just a week later, marking the first time they captured two event titles in the same spring season. Despite challenging weather conditions that shortened the tournament, UIS emerged victorious, thanks to a standout performance by its top golfers. The tiebreaker came down to the team's No. 5 golfer, Julien Babineau, who delivered a crucial performance to edge out Rockhurst.

The fall season set the stage for their success, with promising finishes including 4th place at UMSL's Arch Cup and 2nd at McKendree's Bearcat Dual Gender tournament. Peyton Woods made an impact, earning GLVC Men's Golf Player of the Week honors following his outstanding performance at the Midwest Collegiate in October, where he tied for second place with rounds of 68-76-67, finishing with a total score of 211 (-5).
