SPRINGFIELD, IL - Sophomore Jack Coombes (Auckland, New Zealand) scored his third goal of the preseason in the 88th minute of regulation and junior Zachary Allevi (Adelaide, Australia) scored the game-winner in overtime to give the University of Illinois Springfield men's soccer team a 2-1 preseason victory against Lincoln Land Sunday at Kiwanis Stadium.

Coombes added his third goal in two games on a header off of a throw-in with just over two minutes left in regulation to force overtime. After a scoreless ten minutes, a cross from sophomore Ruell Chappell found Allevi who tucked it home for his second goal in as many games. Chappell also assisted on Coombes' goal.

Sophomore Tommy Geile (O'Fallon, Mo.) logged over 100 minutes in the goal and made seven saves.

The Prairie Stars wrap up the preseason next Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Kiwanis Stadium against Millikin.
