SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - The 12th-seeded University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team seeks its second-straight berth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Quarterfinals, as the Prairie Stars (11-15) travel to fifth-seeded Lewis (20-7) for a GLVC First Round match-up on Sunday in Neil Carey Arena. Tip-off is slated for 3 p.m.

ALL-TIME SERIESSince Lewis entered the Division II ranks, the Flyers hold a 9-3 advantage over UIS in their all-time series.
LAST TIME WE MET UIS led for more than 30 minutes on February 19, but could not hang on for the lead. Lewis' Ryan Jackson posted a team-season high 30 points, including 23 second-half points, and went 16-for-20 from the free throw line to lift the Flyers to the 83-78 win,
Jamall Millison scored 20 points with 19 coming in the first half.
HOLD ON TO THAT BALLThe Prairie Stars are 79th in the country and sixth in the GLVC for fewest turnovers.
LONG RANGE SHOOTERJamall Millison is 52nd in the countryin 3-pointers made per game and is first in the conference with 72.
GETTING AHEADUIS has held a lead in all but three games. Against UW-Parkside in January, the Stars were only able to get out in front once by one point.
SCOUTING THE FLYERSLewis had an eight-game winning streak snapped at No. 6 UW-Parkside on Thursday. Ryan Jackson and Max Struss top the team in scoring with 14.7 and 13.2 points per game respectively. Jeff Jarosz is also in double-figures with 12.0 points per game. Julian Lewis is the team's leading rebounder, grabbing 7.3 boards per contest. The Flyers are shooting 49.7 percent from the floor and holding opponents to 40 percent.
COMING UP NEXTIf UIS can come up with the victory, the Prairie Stars travel to St. Charles to face off with top-seeded Bellarmine on Thursday.
