Two standouts from the Illinois Springfield Men's Basketball collected postseason recognition as the Great Lakes Valley Conference announced its 2025-26 all-conference teams.

Jordan Rice | First Team All-GLVC
Graduate guard Jordan Rice was named First-Team All-GLVC following a dominant performance in the regular season. Rice averaged 16.6 points per game while shooting 41.4 percent from the field and totaled 465 points across 28 starts.

One of the league's premier playmakers, Rice dished out 147 assists — averaging 5.3 per game — ranking among the conference and national leaders. His efficiency helped the Prairie Stars rank 14th nationally in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.5), reflecting the team's emphasis on ball movement and possession control. Rice also posted a 2.6 assist-to-turnover ratio individually, further showcasing his impact as a floor general.

Jordan Rice is now a two-time First-Team All-GLVC selection (2023-24, 2025-26) and a former GLVC All-Freshman Team honoree (2021-22). Over his career, he has developed from the league's top freshman into one of its premier guards.

Alex Stell | All-Freshman Team
Freshman forward Alex Stell earned All-Freshman Team honors after making an immediate impact in the paint. Stell shot 56.2 percent from the field and averaged 7.9 points per game while starting all 28 contests.

He ranked second in the GLVC in blocked shots (35, 1.3 per game) and finished fifth in rebounding at 8.6 boards per contest (242 total), including 105 offensive rebounds and 137 defensive rebounds.

GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Honoree
Additionally, Colin Schuler was named UIS' GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship honoree. At the conclusion of the academic year, one male student-athlete will be selected from UIS' GLVC sport honorees as the institution's selection for the conference's Great Lakes Valley Conference James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award.

GLVC Postseason
The GLVC tournament is up next for the Prairie Stars, set to take on McKendree in the quarterfinal round of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Basketball Tournament Friday at 7:45 p.m. in St. Louis. The longtime rivals split the regular-season series, adding another chapter to one of the program's most familiar matchups.
