Bill Walker. Walker touts 25 years of experience in the sport with his most recent stint coming at Drake University. He has had stops at Texas A&M, Minnesota and Division II powerhouse Central Missouri.
LUCKY NUMBER 13UIS begins its 13th season of basketball tonight against crosstown rival, Robert Morris Springfield. UIS began its basketball program in 2002.
CONSISTENT-THREEAs the Prairie Stars enter 2014-15, they hope to continue a streak that stretches back 10 years. Illinois Springfield has hit at least one three-pointer in 293 straight games dating back to Feb. 21, 2004 when the Prairie Stars went 0-for-9 from long range.
OPENERS AT TRACThe Prairie Stars are 7-0 in home openers since TRAC opened and are 12-0 overall since starting the program. UIS' biggest win came in 2006 with a 114-44 victory against St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
COMFORT OF HOMESince The Recreation & Athletic Center opened in 2007, the Prairie Stars own a 61-36 record on their home floor. In the Division II era, UIS is 40-28 and 24-16 in the last three years at TRAC.

Jamall Millison returns for his third season after averaging 10.9 points per game and leading the team in three-point shooting (43.8%) last year.

Kentrell King are both making their way up the Division II UIS record book. Sparkman is second in rebounds with 326 and fourth in points with 602. King owns the top spot in assists (273), while sitting in second in steals (75) and fifth in rebounds (272).
