Four student-athletes from the Illinois Springfield baseball program were named to the 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II All-Midwest Region Teams, the American Baseball Coaches Association announced on Wednesday.

Of the 34 players selected across the Midwest Region, UIS was represented by two first-team and two second-team honorees.

Senior outfielder Corey Boyette and designated hitter Kaden Griffitts earned First Team All-Midwest Region honors. Boyette also collected First Team All-GLVC honors along with First Team All-Midwest Region recognition from both D2CCA and NCBWA. Griffitts was a First Team All-GLVC designated hitter and earned Second Team All-Midwest Region honors from the D2CCA.

On the second team, outfielder Tommy Atkinson and relief pitcher Isaac Graf were recognized. Atkinson was a First Team All-GLVC selection and earned First Team All-Midwest Region honors from the NCBWA along with Second Team recognition from the D2CCA. Graf was a Second Team All-GLVC selection.

Boyette finished his season at UIS as one of the program's top offensive performers, batting .386 with 80 hits, 73 runs scored, 19 doubles, 16 home runs, and 58 RBIs. He started every game, posting a .739 slugging percentage and a .498 on-base percentage while drawing 39 walks.

Griffitts powered the lineup with a .382 batting average and a team-best 1.242 OPS. He added a .768 slugging percentage with 19 doubles, 19 home runs and 79 RBIs.

Atkinson, the team's leadoff batter, hit .384 with 86 hits and 74 runs scored, adding 19 doubles, 12 home runs, and 65 RBIs.

Graf was dominant out of the bullpen, striking out 30 batters over 24.1 innings in 10 appearances. He posted a 0.74 ERA, recorded four saves, and limited opponents to a .174 batting average.

All four selections were newcomers to the UIS roster in 2026, making an immediate impact and helping lead the Prairie Stars to an NCAA Midwest Regional appearance.

The ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II All-America Teams will be announced on Friday, May 29.
