Illinois Springfield (9-4)
UIS enters the weekend at 9-4 after a strong showing at the Atlantic Region Crossover, where the Prairie Stars defeated Lake Erie and Walsh before falling to Salem in the closing moments of the weekend finale. The UIS offense has been productive, with five regulars hitting above .360 through 13 games.

Tommy Atkinson leads the charge with a .436 average, 23 RBI, and a 1.219 OPS, while Corey Boyette has been electric in the top of the lineup, batting .417 with three home runs and a team-best 1.270 OPS. Boyette highlighted last weekend with a cycle against Walsh. Kody Morton is hitting .400 with a .492 on-base percentage, and Kaden Griffitts continues to provide consistency with a .389 average, six doubles, and 13 RBI. Brian Daker has also contributed in limited action, batting .364.

On the mound, Ben Benoit has set the tone with a 4-0 record and a 2.55 ERA across four starts, striking out 24 in 24.2 innings. Newcomer Trey Carter has also been effective, going 2-0 with 17 strikeouts in 16.1 innings. Both turned in eight-strikeout performances last week. The bullpen has been a strength as well, with Isaac Graf collecting two saves and 17 strikeouts in nine innings so far. Jaden Mathon has also provided steady relief work.

Davenport (3-8)
Davenport arrives in Springfield at 3-8, having already navigated a challenging stretch of competition from the GLVC. The Panthers were swept by Rockhurst, split a four-game set with UIndy, and dropped three of four at Quincy. Offensively, Justin Johnson leads the way with a .467 average and six doubles, while Cody Hultink is hitting .390 with 15 runs scored. Dylan Pawenski provides power with three home runs and 15 RBI, and Wyatt Epple adds steady production at .367.
