The Prairie Stars head to Missouri this weekend for a pair of GLVC road doubleheaders, facing Drury on Saturday at noon in Springfield before traveling to Rolla for a Sunday noon doubleheader against Missouri S&T.

A few weeks into conference play, the GLVC standings remain tightly packed. Illinois Springfield enters the weekend sixth in the conference standings at 5-3, with Missouri S&T just ahead at 4-2 and Drury sitting at 4-4.

Illinois Springfield (21-9, 5-3 GLVC)
UIS bounced back in a big way last weekend. After being swept by Rockhurst, the Prairie Stars responded with a pair of shutout wins over Southwest Baptist.

The strength of the Prairie Stars continues to be in the circle. UIS owns the top team ERA in the GLVC at 1.88, well ahead of the rest of the conference. Illinois Springfield has recorded 10 shutouts and held opponents to a .214 batting average.

Rosie Bartletti has been dominant with a 0.97 ERA, a 7-3 record, and 67 strikeouts in 58 innings. Calista Stahlhut is 9-4 with a 1.62 ERA and 80 strikeouts, while Alexis Carroll adds depth with a 2.74 ERA and five wins.

Offensively, UIS continues to be one of the most balanced teams in the conference. The Prairie Stars are batting .300 as a team with a .398 on-base percentage, combining power and speed throughout the lineup.

Emme Steward leads the team with a .375 batting average and 1.138 OPS, while Rosie Bartletti is batting .348 with seven home runs and 27 RBI.

Drury (14-15, 4-4 GLVC)
Drury enters the weekend at .500 in conference play and has won four of its last six games.

Last week, the Panthers split with Maryville, split with nationally ranked McKendree, and swept a non-conference doubleheader against Ouachita Baptist.

At the plate, Drury is led by Emma Niemczyk, who is batting .300 with nine stolen bases. Isabel Ervin is hitting .294 with 12 RBI, while Claire Nelson has added 15 RBI and two home runs.

In the circle, Kaley Adzick has been the Panthers' top arm with a 1.90 ERA across 70 innings, while Jordyn Foley leads the team with seven wins.

Missouri S&T (17-11, 4-2 GLVC)
Missouri S&T enters Sunday after winning three of four conference games last weekend against Missouri-St. Louis and Maryville.

The Miners feature one of the most dangerous offenses in the GLVC, ranking third in the conference with 25 home runs and third in walks with 114, just behind UIS' 118. Missouri S&T also ranks second in the conference with a .971 fielding percentage.

Taylor Nelson leads the offense with a .373 batting average, nine home runs, and a 1.256 OPS. Claire Lopez is hitting .356 with 14 stolen bases, while AJ Agers has added four home runs and 19 RBI.

The Miners rely heavily on their top two pitchers. AJ Agers owns a 2.55 ERA across 74 innings, while Mia Miller has six wins and two saves.
