The 2026 Academic All-District Softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Representing UIS on this year's list were Rosie Bartletti, Bailey Masching, Olivia DeLuca, Chloe Scroggins, and Calista Stahlhut.
The award honors student-athletes who are at least sophomores academically and athletically, hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and meet participation requirements of either appearing in 90% of their team's games or starting 66%. Pitchers must also meet minimum appearance or innings thresholds. Each NCAA softball program may nominate up to five student-athletes.
Bartletti, an elementary education major, earned GLVC First Team honors as a pitcher and Second Team honors as a utility player. She hit .346 on the season, posted a 2.07 ERA, and stole a team-high 49 bases. In the circle, she recorded a 12–9 pitching record with 122 strikeouts. She also totaled 13 doubles, four triples, three home runs, and 29 RBIs, while recording 40 putouts and 110 assists.
Masching, a middle grades education major and GLVC Second Team utility non-pitcher selection, hit .300 with 45 hits, including 11 doubles, three triples, and three home runs. She recorded 142 putouts and 48 assists while seeing time at first base, third base, and shortstop.
DeLuca, a senior elementary education major and infielder, hit .254 with 32 hits, including three doubles, and went a perfect 9-for-9 in stolen base attempts. She totaled 87 putouts and 68 assists while anchoring the infield at second base.
Scroggins, a public health major and first-year Prairie Star graduate transfer outfielder, hit .272 with 34 hits, drew 27 walks, and added 10 stolen bases to the offensive effort.
Stahlhut, an exercise science major and transfer pitcher, led the staff with 151.2 innings pitched, posting a 13-8 record with a 2.68 ERA and 130 strikeouts. She also contributed offensively, batting .300 with 33 hits on the season.
Athletes who met the criteria for further consideration, including Bartletti and Masching, will advance to the Academic All-America ballot, which will be voted on this summer by CSC committee.
As a team, UIS Softball posted an impressive 3.66 team GPA during the spring semester, continuing a strong tradition of academic excellence.
