The UIS men's golf team kicked off its spring season at the Las Vegas Warrior Classic, hosted by Winona State, on Wednesday. UIS completed the full first round and 10-12 holes of round two before play was suspended due to darkness. The tournament resumes Thursday morning with the remainder of round two and round three.
Senior
Daniel Edwards leads UIS with a first-round 75, placing him in the top 15 individually.
Jake Baldin posted a 76, one stroke ahead of
Julien Babineau at 77. Competing as an individual,
Charles Prins shot 79, while freshman
Vilgot Arleback rounds out the scoring lineup with an 81.
Sacha Lamraski added a round of 82. Minor adjustments in individual placements are expected once round two concludes.
UIS totaled 309 strokes over round one. The Prairie Stars sit fifth out of 10 teams after partial round-two scoring, trailing Quincy by six strokes and host Winona State (No. 31) by 16 strokes.
