The UIS men's golf team is set to open its spring season this week at the Las Vegas Warrior Invitational, hosted by Winona State. The two-day event will be played Wednesday and Thursday at The Legacy Golf Club, a par-72 course located just outside Las Vegas.

UIS will send six golfers to the tournament: Sacha Lamraski, Julien Babineau, Jake Baldin, Vilgot Arleback, and Daniel Edwards make up the five-player lineup. Charles Prins will also compete as an individual in the event.

The Prairie Stars will compete in a nine-team field featuring programs from NCAA Division II and beyond. GLVC foe Quincy is also in the field, giving UIS a familiar conference matchup during the tournament.

Additional competing teams include host Winona State, Texas at Dallas, Eastern Wyoming, Jamestown, Carroll College, and British Columbia Okanagan.
