Junior pitcher Rosie Bartletti was named GLVC Pitcher of the Week after throwing 17.2 innings with 20 strikeouts over two road starts to close the regular season.

Bartletti tossed a complete-game win at Upper Iowa on Saturday, allowing just six hits and one unearned run with six strikeouts. She followed with a dominant outing at Lewis, keeping the Flyers hitless and scoreless through six innings before finishing with 10.2 innings pitched, 14 strikeouts, and just two earned runs in an extra-inning loss.

This marks Bartletti's second GLVC Pitcher of the Week honor of the season, it is also the final weekly award of the year.

Her efforts helped UIS secure the No. 5 seed in the GLVC Championship Tournament. The Prairie Stars open against McKendree on Wednesday at noon at the EastSide Centre in East Peoria, Ill.
