The University of Illinois Springfield softball team will start its weekend on the road when they face the Truman State Bulldogs in Kirksville, Mo. on Friday.
UIS is 25-16 after winning three-of-four games last week including a sweep of Missouri-St. Louis. The Prairie Stars are 6-6 in GLVC play with 12 regular season conference games remaining.
Sophomore
Taylor Zawacki was named the GLVC Softball Player of the Week after last week's performance. She was also highlighted in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Selected Top Performances this week.
The Truman State Bulldogs are 3-11 in GLVC play and hold an overall record of 13-29. Truman State fell 6-2 and 5-0 to Northwest Missouri State on Tuesday.
UIS leads the all-time series 11-9 and has not been defeated by the Bulldogs since 2019.
