The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team hits the road for games against Maryville and Missouri-St. Louis this week. The Prairie Stars take on Maryville this Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
UIS looks to win their fourth game in a row, after taking down Southwest Baptist, Drury, and Missouri S&T within a five-day span. The Prairie Stars are currently fourth in the GLVC standings.
UIS and Maryville are tied 9-9 in the all-time series, with UIS winning the last two. The Saints have a four game losing streak after facing some of the top teams in the GLVC at the start of 2023.
UIS will meet the Missouri-St. Louis Tritons for the first time this season on Saturday. The Tritons are 14-3 overall and hold a 6-3 GLVC record. The Tritons have held one of the top spots in the GLVC all season and have been nationally ranked since Week 3.
UIS received votes in the D2SIDA regional poll in Week 9 and could move back into the regional rankings based on this week's results.
