Menno Servaes was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team on Thursday. The academic honor is just the latest for the UIS Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Servaes earned his second straight first-team all-GLVC award this past season. He was the UIS leader with 32 total victories. He went 19-7 on the year in singles play, including 10-5 in duals. He was 7-2 while playing at the No. 1 position. In doubles, Servaes was 13-9 overall, including 9-7 in duals at the No. 1 spot.

Servaes was named the GLVC Player of the Week once during the 2021-22 season. He advanced to the semifinals of the ITA Regional Singles Tournament, and was the co-champion in singles at the UIS Invitational.

For his career, Servaes had an 89-42 overall record, including a 48-19 mark in singles play and a 41-23 record in doubles action.

Servaes was the 2021 GLVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the sport of men's tennis. He has received the GLVC Brother James Gaffney Distinguished Scholar award and GLVC Academic All-Conference award in each of his first three seasons at UIS.
