The University of Illinois Springfield softball team returns home this weekend for a doubleheader against Quincy.

The Prairie Stars are 20-12 on the season, and 4-8 in GLVC play. UIS picked up its biggest victory of the year last Sunday, as it split a doubleheader with one of the top-five ranked teams in the nation, Indianapolis. UIS also split a doubleheader with Lewis over the last seven days.

UIS ranks in the top four in the GLVC in most offensive categories, including batting average, slugging percentage, on-base percentage, runs, and RBI. The Prairie Stars also rank fifth in the league with a 3.02 ERA.

Carly Chovanec is the current GLVC leader with 33 runs and 30 stolen bases.
Danielle Dennis paces the league with 35 RBI.
