The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team will greet a first-time visitor to TRAC on Thursday evening. The Southwest Baptist Bearcats will come to town for their inaugural game in Springfield, Ill.

The Prairie Stars are in the middle of a tough stretch with three out of their last four games against the top-three teams in the GLVC. In the most recent game, UIS took Truman State to the wire before falling by a 78-72 score.

Southwest Baptist is currently second in the GLVC, and it is riding a six-game winning streak. Its lastest victory was an 82-71 win over Southern Indiana.

The Bearcats have the best scoring margin in the GLVC. They rank second in the league in points, and fourth in scoring defense.
