The University of Illinois Springfield women's soccer team starts a three-game homestand this week with two games at Kiwanis Stadium. The Prairie Stars will kick off Homecoming on Friday with a 5 p.m. game against Lewis. They will then host Indianapolis on Sunday afternoon at noon.

UIS has gone 1-1-0 in each of the last two weekends of GLVC play. Last week, the Prairie Stars picked up a 2-1 road victory over Southern Indiana, their first win in program history against the Screaming Eagles. On Sunday, McKendree defeated UIS by an identical 2-1 margin.

The Prairie Stars are now 5-2-1 overall on the season, and 3-2-0 in conference play. UIS is currently fifth in the GLVC standings. The Prairie Stars are sixth in the league with 1.50 goals a game, and sixth with a 0.97 GAA.

Sierra Cenek leads the team with four goals and nine points.
Allison Hackett has two game-winning goals, and is one of three players with two assists.
Allison Mirimanian currently leads the GLVC with 5.62 saves a game, and is third with a .849 save percentage.
