UIS Athletics Will Host Nearly 40 Camps This Summer

The University of Illinois Springfield Athletics Department will offer over 30 summer sports camps in the next three months. This year, the Prairie Stars will have camps in baseball, men's and women's basketball, and men's and women's soccer.
 
The UIS baseball team, led by head coach Ryan Copeland, is scheduled to have 12 camps this summer. Those included four showcase events, three team camps, two youth camps, and three youth clinics.
 
The Prairie Stars men's basketball team, led by head coach Matt Brock, will have eight camps. Those camps include three youth camps, two future stars camps, a shooting camp, an offensive skills camp, and an Elite camp.
 
The women's basketball team, led by head coach Casey Thousand, has four camps scheduled. It will have two elite camps, a little stars camp, and a future stars camp.
 
The UIS soccer teams, led by head coaches Erin Egolf and Adam Hall, will have two week-long camps for youths. The men's soccer program also has three Elite ID camps, and the women's soccer team has two Elite ID camps.

The UIS softball program, led by head coach Shannon Guthrie, will have three one-day developmental camps this summer. It will also have a summer and fall Elite Stars Showcase Camp, and a future stars kids camp.
