The UIS athletic department placed 32 student-athletes on the 2025-26 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Council of Presidents' Academic Excellence Award list, which was released Thursday morning.
The Council of Presidents' Academic Excellence Award honors student-athletes who have graduated during the academic year or exhausted their eligibility and have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher while competing in the GLVC for at least two years.
UIS student-athletes represented 14 programs on this year's list, highlighting continued academic success across Prairie Stars athletics.
Baseball and women's soccer led UIS with seven honorees each.

The Council of Presidents' Academic Excellence Award is the only career-based honor presented during GLVC Academic Awards Week, honoring student-athletes for sustained academic success over the course of their collegiate careers.
GLVC Academic Awards Week concludes Friday with the announcement of Scholar-Athletes of the Year for each conference-sponsored winter and spring sport.
