3/23/2021 4:03:00 PM

The University of Illinois Springfield soccer teams announced today that they will be moving the locations of their final home contests this year. The changes affects games this Friday and Sunday, as well as games on April 9 and April 11.

The Friday contests will now be played at a neutral site in Collinsville, Ill. at the SLSG Metro Soccer Field. The women's games will begin at 1 p.m. on those days, followed by the men playing at 3:30 p.m. UIS will play Truman State there this Friday, followed by taking on Drury on April 9.

The Sunday contests for the rest of the home schedule will be played at Sacred Heart-Griffin High School in Springfield, Ill. Those games will have the same start time of noon for the women, and 2:30 p.m. for the men. UIS will face William Jewell this Sunday, and will host Missouri S&T on April 11.

UIS's outdoor spectator policy will remain the same for the games in Collinsville and at Sacred Heart-Griffin. UIS players can reserve up to two spots for guests, and an additional 50 spots are available for those in the UIS community who get regularly tested for COVID. All fans will be required to wear masks and social distance. Fans from the visiting teams and from the Springfield community will not be allowed into the games.

For the two games this week, UIS Athletics will be providing coverage on the GLVC Sports Network (www.glvcsn.com), and through live stats on uisprairiestars.com.
