Box Score The University of Illinois Springfield softball team suffered a walk-off loss in its final game at the Dome Invitational. The Prairie Stars lost to Ashland by a 7-6 margin.

UIS trailed 4-1 early, but tied the game in the top of third. An inning later, it took a 6-4 lead, including one run off a solo homer by
Reagan Miles. That 6-4 lead held until the bottom of the seventh, when Ashland took advantage of three walks to start the inning to score three times and capture the win.

Besides her homer, Miles had another hit and pitched five innings in relief. She allowed two runs and four hits, and struck out six.
Kelsie Burrows had two hits and scored twice.
Emma Thomas drove in two batters in the game and scored once.
Natalie Cokel and
Calla Wickenhauser both had one run and one RBI.

UIS finishes the Dome Invitational with a 1-4 mark. The Prairie Stars are scheduled to be in action again next week at the Drury Invitational.
