Two members of the University of Illinois Springfield men's soccer team were named to the 2021 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) men's soccer All-Midwest Region team. Marvin Zott was a first-team selection, and Conal Gallagher was a second-team pick.

Zott is the top defensive player for the Prairie Stars. He started every contest this season and was on the field for a team-high 96.5 percent of the time. He helped UIS have a 0.98 GAA for the season, and anchored a defense that allowed just 4.1 shots on goal a game. The Prairie Stars had six shutouts in 20 games, and allowed just one or fewer goal in 16 of the team's 20 contests.

Zott also scored two goals on the season, both of them game-winners against William Jewell and Rockhurst. He also assisted on one goal in the 2-1 victory over NCAA Tournament participant Lewis.

Gallagher is a midfielder who also played a big role in the team's defensive success. He started 18 games and played in all 20. He was on the field for UIS for over 60 percent of the team's minutes. Offensively, he leads the GLVC and is 22nd in NCAA Division II with four game-winning goals. He has a total of five goals on the year and one assist.

Zott and Gallagher are among the team leaders for UIS, which is having its best season in the program's NCAA era. The Prairie Stars are currently 13-5-2 overall, and have advanced to the third-round of the NCAA Division II Tournament. UIS was the GLVC regular season runner-up, and reached the GLVC Tournament Championship game.
