The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team will take on Lindenwood on Saturday at 3 p.m. inside TRAC. The Prairie Stars will be meeting Lindenwood for the first time since the Lions joined the GLVC.
UIS is looking to snap a five-game losing streak, including a 63-55 setback against No. 18 Missouri-St. Louis on Thursday night. The Prairie Stars led by 11 at halftime, but couldn't close the game out.
Lindenwood is on a six-game skid. On Thursday, it fell to Lewis by a 71-62 margin.
UIS is 2-1 this season when facing teams in the bottom half of the league in scoring defense, and 0-6 against teams in the top half. Lindenwood comes to Springfield ranked last in the GLVC by allowing 78.1 points a game.
