The University of Illinois Springfield women's golf team finished third at the GLVC Championships for the fourth straight year. The Prairie Stars finished the three-round tournament with a total of 973.

UIS and Missouri-St. Louis were battling for second place throughout the day. The Prairie Stars closed a four-shot gap to two at one point, but Missouri-St. Louis pulled away late and finished six shots ahead of the Prairie Stars. Indianapolis won the tournament with a total of 914. McKendree was right behind the Prairie Stars with a 978, and Lewis was fifth in the 14-team field with a 980.

Ocean Pangan missed a top-five finish by just one shot after finishing with a 235. She was under par for much of the final round and finished with a four-over 76. Pangan led or tied for the team-high in each round of the GLVC Championships with rounds of 81, 78, and 76.

Jennifer Queller tied for 13th, and
Paula Valdivia also had a top-20 finish. Queller shot an 81 on Sunday and had a three-day total of 241. Valdivia carded an 82 on Sunday and was three shots back of Queller.

Maria Espinosa shot an 82 as well on Sunday, and finished with a three-day total of 253.
Sasha Glickfield ended the tournament with a 277 score.

UIS will find out on Monday afternoon whether it will advance to the NCAA Regional Tournament for a fourth straight year.
