The Illinois Springfield Prairie Stars sit 11th out of 15 teams through part of the second round at the Findlay Spring Invite, hosted at Boone's Trace National Golf Club. The team completed round two, though some other squads had yet to finish as play was paused due to darkness.
Valentina Torrealba had the team's strongest opening round with a 77 and followed with an 83 in round two, showing steady play as the team works to climb the leaderboard.
Elaine Grant is making a comeback after an 81 in round one, posting 76 in round two to rise into a tie for 15th.
Lia Rody opened with rounds of 85 and 81,
Yi-Ting Hsieh posted 87 and 89, and
Ira Joshi carded 98 and 85 through the first two rounds.
Erin Ahmadfadzir turned in a round of 89 to start, and is through 15 holes of round two competing as an an individual.
The Prairie Stars will resume play Monday morning as they continue their pursuit in a competitive 15-team field.
