UIS women's golf senior Elaine Grant begins her final tournament as a Prairie Star on Tuesday morning, competing in the NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championship at PGA National Golf Course in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

One of the top golfers in program history and the program's only two-time national qualifier, Grant earned First Team All-GLVC honors this season. She made four regional appearances during her career — three as part of the team lineup and one as an individual in her senior season.

Grant previously qualified for nationals as a sophomore, finishing tied for 63rd with rounds of 72, 74, and 80. Now, she looks to cap off a stellar collegiate career with a strong final 54 holes.

At last week's regional, Grant shot rounds of 76 and 75 during the opening day's 36 holes before closing with a 74 in the final round. She finished tied for second overall, securing the top individual qualifying spot for nationals.

Eighteen teams and eight individuals advanced to the championship through regional competition.

The championship begins Tuesday, May 12, and continues through Saturday, May 16, at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Individual competitors like Grant will play Tuesday through Thursday, while the advancing teams continue competition Friday and Saturday.

Live scoring will be available through Clippd.
