Men's Basketball Looks To Get Offense Hot At Oakland City

12/5/2019 12:00:00 PM

The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball program looks to return to the win column this Saturday with a non-conference road game at Oakland City.

UIS opened up GLVC play last Tuesday with a 71-64 road loss at defending GLVC Regular Season Champion, Lewis. The Prairie Stars are now 5-2 overall on the season.

Oakland City, a NCAA Division II independent program, is 1-8 this year, including a loss against GLVC's Southern Indiana.

UIS is averaging 90.8 points in its five victories this season, but just 73.5 points in its two losses. The Prairie Stars hope their offense gets hot again against a Mighty Oaks team that is allowing 103.0 points a game.
