OSPREY, FL – The University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) women's golf team placed 10th in the two-day Harvard Invitational, which concluded on Monday.
 
UIS compiled a 54-hole score of 963, behind rounds of 324, 327 and 312.
 
The Harvard Invitational field consisted of eight NCAA Division I schools. The three remaining schools were NCAA Division II institutions Rollins College, the University of Tampa and UIS.
 
Brooke Hill tied for 24th with a tournament score of 235. The senior from Regina, Saskatchewan carded rounds of 78, 79 and 78 on the par-72 layout at The Oaks Club.
 
Jennifer Queller captured 34th (81-81-77 – 239), Maria Espinosa earned a T-34 finish (83-82-79 – 244), Ocean Pangan claimed 50th (82-87-78 – 247) and Taryn Pittman took 52nd (86-85-81 – 252).
 
Harvard University secured first with a tournament score of 902, finishing ahead of the University of Delaware (905), Rollins (907), Princeton University (910), the University of Richmond (922), Brown University (926), Boston University (936), the University of Pennsylvania (941), Dartmouth College (954), UIS (963) and the University of Tampa (998), which rounds out the team standings.
 
Rollins' Seher Atwal topped the individual standings with a score of 218 at 2-over, carding rounds of 74, 74 and 70. Delaware's Ariane Klotz came in second (76-73-70 – 219) while Boston's Phyllis Tang and Delaware's Thitaree Sakulbunpanich both finished T-3 (76-74-71 – 221) with identical scores for each of the three rounds.
 
UIS faces off with the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday in the Fox Run Challenge at the Fox Run Golf Course in Eureka, MO.
