EUREKA, MO – The University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) topped the University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) women's golf team by a score of 300-324 during Saturday's Fox Run Challenge.
UMSL is 1-0 in duals this season while UIS is 0-1 in duals this season. The Tritons are ranked No. 3 in the latest NCAA Division II East Regional rankings while the Prairie Stars are ranked No. 6.
Maria Espinosa tied for fourth, shooting a 77 on the par-72 layout at Fox Run Golf Course.
Brooke Hill and
Taryn Pittman each put together T-6 finishes with scores of 78.
Jennifer Queller took 10th with a 91 and
Chelsey Witkowiak placed 11th with a 99.
UMSL's Ares Boira led the field after firing a 73.
The Prairie Stars host the two-day UIS Spring Invitational, beginning next Saturday at Panther Creek Country Club.
