Box Score BELLEVILLE, IL --- The Prairie Stars (2-0) continued their fall dual match schedule by defeating NAIA opponent Lindenwood-Belleville on the road Friday afternoon. The Prairie Stars have now swept both dual matches in the fall season, with two more matches remaining.

The Prairie Stars made easy work in the doubles matches as Jane Carter and Ana Boza Martin won 8-2 in the top slot. Maegan Flight and Hana Iverson took an 8-3 decision while Kate Dumsdorff and Hannah Blythe won 8-2 to sweep doubles play.

It was much of the same in singles play as all six matches were sweeps for UIS. Kena Bere played in the number one slot and won 6-3, 7-5 while Boza Martin and Kaitlyn Thornhill each picked up 6-1, 6-1 decisions. Blythe won 6-2, 6-2 and Iverson took a 6-3, 6-0 decision in the four and five slots, respectively.

Dumsdorff picked up a clean 6-0, 6-0 win to close out the 9-0 sweep.

As a team, the Prairie Stars hold a 39-23 record on the season in singles and doubles play combined and are a perfect 18-0 in dual matches. Both Flight and Iverson are 4-1 in doubles while Carter holds an overall singles record of 6-2.

UIS is now 2-0 in the fall season and will return home on Friday to face Truman State for a 1 PM match.
