WATERLOO, IL --- The Prairie Stars shot a final round 310 to come back and win the Maryville Fall Invitational by 13 strokes over William Jewell College. In a seven-team field, with six teams from the Great Lakes Valley Conference, UIS was the only team to break 320 in the final round as they ran away for their second win of the season.

Brooke Hill led the way for the Prairie Stars with a third-place finish shooting 75-77—152 on the weekend. Hill ranked T-5 in the field in par-three and par-four scoring and was T-4 in par-five scoring.

Maria Espinosa and Jennifer Queller also notched top-ten performances as Espinosa carded a 75-79—154 for a sixth place finish and Queller a 78-79—157 for a T-9 finish. Espinosa was T-5 in par-three scoring and T-7 in par-four scoring on the weekend while ranking T-5 in par-five scoring as well.

Ocean Pangan and Taryn Pittman rounded out the scoring for UIS with a T-14 and 19^th place finish, respectively. Pangan shaved 11 strokes off her first round score of 86 with a final round 75, while Pittman improved by three strokes, going from 84 to 81.

UIS was in third after the first round, two strokes behind leader Southern Indiana. However, UIS improved by two strokes on the final day while no other team shot better than they did in the first round. This led to a 13-stroke win for UIS and their second victory of the season.
