Prairie Stars Conclude Non-Conference Schedule with Robert Morris – Peoria

SPRINGFIELD, IL --- Coming off a dominating win last Wednesday, the Prairie Stars will look to close out their non-conference schedule with consecutive wins as they host Robert Morris – Peoria on Sunday. The University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) comes into the game having beat Governors State 98-68 and now holds a record of 5-6 on the season.

LAST TIME OUT
In the 30 point route of the Jaguars, UIS saw five players score in double-figures, led by Zach Steinberg's 17 point, 12 rebound double-double performance. Senior guard, JJ Cravatta, was a perfect 6-for-6 on the night including a trio of three pointers, for 15 points. The 98 point explosion was the second highest point total of the season for the Prairie Stars, behind a 101 point outburst against Robert Morris – Springfield on November 18th.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR
Jamall Millison looks to make history on Sunday. With his first point, Millison will become the UIS Division II all-time leading scorer. At the moment, with 873 points, he is tied with Dylan Sparkman but will jump to second on the all-time list with a single point.

The Prairie Stars will look to even up their record at 6-6 with a win, and improve to 6-4 in non-conference games on the season. This game will serve as the final tune-up for the Prairie Stars before entering into a full slate of Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) games.  The season will conclude with 16 straight GLVC games, while the Prairie Stars sit at 0-2 in the conference.

This is the first ever meeting between UIS and RMU – Peoria. The Prairie Stars are 7-0 all-time against Robert Morris – Springfield and 2-4 against Robert Morris – Chicago.

ABOUT THE EAGLES
The Eagles come into the game with a 3-9 record and having lost their last four games. They have surrendered 100 points four times this season and have given up 90 points on three separate occasions. Having played 11 of their 12 games on the road or a neutral site, they are no stranger to playing away from home.

COMING UP NEXT
The Prairie Stars will travel to Quincy, Illinois to begin the conference stretch. This will begin a two-game road swing against Quincy and Truman State on January 7h and 9th. Tip-off against the Red Hawks is set for 7:30 pm on Thursday.
