SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - University of Illinois Springfield tennis coach Tom Rees announced the addition of Logan Burgess Hayes of Brighton, England to the 2015-16 Prairie Star men's tennis team.

"We are deligned to add Logan to the Prairie Star family," said Rees. "He brings with him a strong pedigree and I fully expect him to make an immediate impact in the GLVC. Logan is part of an exciting incoming class and he has proven throughout his junior career that he is able to perform on bigger stages. He comes from a great family and we look forward to welcoming him this fall."

Hayes owns runner-up finishes at the Brighton Winter Open, Woodford Wells Open, Sussex Junior Championship and the Devonshire Park Open. He is ranked 1744 in the International Tennis Federation's World Ranking and is a 2.1 rating in the British National system.

Along with Hayes, newcomers Christian Timm and Sam Clarke join five returners for next year including rising juniors Santiago Pedraza and Pradeep Ravisankar and rising sophomore Cole Buehnerkemper.
