WATERLOO, Ill. - The University of Illinois Springfield women's golf team is in seventh place at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship after posting a team score of 332 on Saturday at the Anbriar Golf Course.
UIS dropped two spots in the second round, falling to seventh after shooting a team score of 332. The Prairie Stars two-day score of 655 is nine strokes back of sixth place Lewis. Southern Indiana currently leads the field with a score of 605.
Freshman
Brooke Hill (Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada) carded the best round of the day for the Prairie Stars with an 80. She and sophomore
Jocelyn Matsen (Springfield, Ill.) are tied for 29th place with two-day scores of 163.
Junior
Becca Ramirez (Springfield, Ill.) is in 25th place after shooting an 86 on Saturday to lead UIS.
Senior
Liz Kesinger (Carrollton, Ill.) shot an 85 to make her two-day total 168. Freshman
Carly Hudon (St. Charles, Ill.) rounded out the UIS team efforts with an 89.
The final round of the tournament begins tomorrow at 8 a.m. CT.
