LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Freshman
Jane Carter won the lone match for the Prairie Stars as Bellarmine topped the University of Illinois Springfield women's tennis team, 8-1, on Friday afternoon.
Carter battled to a three-set victory in the No. 1 spot. She won, 6-0 in the first set before dropping a 1-6 decision. The freshman responded by coming back and winning 10-5 to give UIS the lone point of the match.
The Prairie Stars have a quick turnaround to prepare for GLVC foe Indianapolis on Saturday. Match time is set for 12 p.m. at Washington Park.
