WATERLOO, IL -Â The University of Illinois Springfield women's golf team is in seventh at the Conference Preview at the Anbriar Golf Course after shooting a 333 on Saturday.
Southern Indiana leads the 10-team field with a score of 309. The Prairie Stars are just two strokes back of Drury and three strokes out of fourth place.
Freshman
Charlotte Ng (Hong Kong) paced the Prairie Stars in the first round, carding a 79 to put herself in a tie for seventh place. Senior
Becca Ramirez (Springfield, Ill.) is just one stroke behind her in 10th place (80).Â
Freshmen
Kayla Yn (Arcadia, Calif.) and
Maria Espinosa (Ibague, Colombia) posted identical scores on Saturday. They each shot an 81 to tie for 17th place after one round.
Sophomore
Taryn Pittman (Aledo, Texas) and junior
Jocelyn Matsen (Springfield, Ill.) rounded out the Prairie Stars' efforts with identical scores of 91.
UIS wraps up at the conference preivew tomorrow. The Prairie Stars finish the fall season in Puerto Rico next week.
