Women's Soccer Hosts Rockhurst in Midweek Matchup

SPRINGFIELD, IL - The University of Illinois Springfield women's soccer team hosts Rockhurst at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at Kiwanis Stadium. The game had to be rescheduled due to lightning back on September 18.

The Prairie Stars split a pair of games this past weekend, falling to Indianapolis in overtime, 1-0, before defeating St. Joseph's on Sunday by the same score. Sophomore Sam Morin (Lake in the Hills, Ill.) scored her third goal and second game-winner of the season against the Pumas. She is now tied with freshman Karisa Rogers (St. Charles, Mo.) for the team lead in goals with three.

  • If UIS picks up one more GLVC win this season, it would be a a program record for wins in a season and GLVC wins in a season.
