SPRINGFIELD, IL - Despite being down a player, the University of Illinois Springfield women's tennis team grabbed a 7-2 victory at Lindenwood-Belleville on Thursday afternoon.
The Prairie Stars had no trouble sweeping through doubles with and 8-2 and 8-5 victory in the No. 1 and No. 2 spots.

Sharon Danquah (Liberty Twp., Ohio) shut out her opponent Teah Flynn in the No. 2 position. Freshman
Jasmin Morgan (Acworth, Ga.) grinded out a three-set win in the No. 3 spot.
UIS is now 2-1 overall and wraps up its fall season on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 9 & 10, respectively.
