SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team looks to get back to the comfort of home with GLVC contests against Quincy on Thursday and Truman on Saturday. Game times are set for 7:30 and 3 p.m., respectively.
QUICK HITS- The Prairie Stars are 6-4 overall and 0-2 in GLVC play after dropping decisions at UMSL and Maryville.
- Junior Jamall MIllison currently leads the team in scoring, while also topping to squad in three-pointers.
- Senior Dylan Sparkman became the school's Division II leading scorer with 720 career points after scoring five points at UMSL.

NOTESHOME COURT ADVANTAGEThe Prairie Stars are 4-0 when leading at the half at home, however the second half is not proving kindly on the road. UIS averages just 28 points in the second stanza at away games.
DISH IT OUTSenior KENTRELL KING continues to make plays happen as he ranks second in the GLVC in assists per game (5.00). He also is controlling the ball to rank third in the conference in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.38).
ROAD WARRIORSAfter this home series, the Prairie Stars will play four of their next five games on the road.
HOLD YOU DOWNUIS is limiting opponents to just 39 percent shooting to rank first in the GLVC. The Stars held the opposition to less than 75 points in six games.
I'll HELP YOU OUTSenior KENTRELL KING is second in the GLVC in assists per game and tops the UIS record book in helpers (317). He now has 300 assists and 301 rebounds to be the only UIS player to have that milestone in both categories in the Division II era.
THE SCOUTSCOUTING QUINCYQuincy comes into Thursday's contest looking to snap a three-game skid afer dropping both GLVC contests last week. The Hawks rank sixth in the GLVC in scoring with 81 points a game aided by three games with 90 points or more. Scottie Bruxvoort leads the Hawks with 12.7 points per game, while Evan McGaughey is second in points (11.2) and leads the team wtih 6.3 boards per contest.

- UIS took the lead for the rest of the game with 13:27 to play in the first half. UIS owned a 48-40 edge at the break.
- After UIS owned a 15-point plus lead in the second, Quincy came back to within six. The teams combined for 34 points in the final two minutes with the Stars holding on for the win.

SCOUTING TRUMANPicked to finish fourth in the GLVC West, Truman won six straight during the month of December, but followed up with two losses to kick off conference play. All five main starters saw time last year led by senior Seth JACKSON who is currently averaging 21.3 ppg. and ranks second in the GLVC. Classmate REED MELLS joins in double figures with 13.4 points per contest. MELLS is also good at picking up loose balls as he ranks second in the conference in steals per game and has 28 total. Truman is outscoring opponents by 20 points and shooting 50 perecnt from the field. Cory Myers is a perfect 24-for-24 from the free throw line to aid Truman in a 72.5 percent clip from the charity stripe.

As the No. 12 seed, UIS travelled to Kirksville and upset fifth-seeded Truman in the first round of the GLVC Tournament. Senior
Regan Bruenger scored a career-high 25 points. Millison hit 13 points, while
Dusko Despot dropped 11. The game had 13 ties and 14 lead changes, but UIS took the lead in the second stanza and did not let up.
Millison sank the long ball with 10 minutes left in the game and put UIS out front for the final time. The Prairie Stars sank nine of their final 14 free throws while the Bulldogs struggled from the charity stripe, hitting just 1-of-5.
