SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team look to stay perfect at home as it hosts Millikin on Saturday at 3 p.m. in TRAC. The Prairie Stars are 2-0 in the early part of the season on their home floor after winning on Monday against Lincoln.
The team celebrates Springfield day as the Department of Athletics invited and honor the
State Journal Register's First Citizen receipients including 2014 honoree Dan Cadigan.
HOME SWEET HOMESince The Recreation & Athletic Center opened in 2007, the Prairie Stars own a 63-36 record on their home floor. UIS is 26-16 in the last three years at TRAC.

CRASH THE GLASSIllinois Springfield's 55 rebounds on Monday were the most since January 24, 2013. The Prairie Stars matched their program record set in 2012. They grabbed 52 against William Jewell that night.
CONSISTENT-THREEAs the Prairie Stars enter 2014-15, they hope to continue a streak that stretches back 10 years. Illinois Springfield has hit at least one three-pointer in 298 straight games dating back to Feb. 21, 2004 when the Prairie Stars went 0-for-9 from long range.
LEADING THE WAYUIS can have as many as 3-5 different players lead the team in scoring on any different nights. So far, four have topped the team included
Jamall Millison who scored team-bests in three straight contests.
I'll HELP YOU OUTSenior KENTRELL KING is second in the conference in total assists and tops the UIS record book in helpers (296). He has four assists and 13 rebounds in order to get 300 for both categories and become the lone Prairie Star with the accomplishment in the Division II era.
