SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team prepares for its final game of 2014 when it welcomes former GLVC foe Kentucky Wesleyan to TRAC on Sunday for a 3 p.m. tip.
Kentucky Wesleyan (6-3) is carrying a two-game winning streak into the contest, but have not played since last Saturday (12/6). UIS is on a three-game winning streak and have not dropped a contest at home to stand at 6-1 on the season. The Prairie Stars are looking for their first win against the Panthers as KWC owns a 7-0 series edge on UIS.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTThe Pathers come into the game with a 6-3 record and beat Salem International on Saturday, a team that averaged 100 ppg until the Panthers ending the run, holding Salem to 65 points. Coming off back-to-back road victories KEN-JAH BOSLEY and C.J BLACKWELL led in scoring with 94 combinded points the last two games. The Panthers are shooting 46 percent from the floor led by CJ BLACKWELL's 52 percent clip from the floor.
