Davi Austin (Newark, N.J.) with 9:24 on the clock. The home team then went on a 13-1 run to take its first double-figure lead with 5:26 left in the opening frame.
UIS was able to shrink the lead back to single digits on a layup from

Green Bay extended its lead in the second half to as many as 39, 78-39, with less than nine to play as it limited UIS to just 10 field goals in the second stanza.
Illinois Springfield shot 32 percent from the floor, going 21-for-64, while hitting 10-for-13 from the line to tally a 76 percent clip. Walker's four treys and one from Weems were the lone long balls of the day as the Prairie Stars struggled from long range going 5-for-22.
Green Bay also slowed down in the second half with just 13 buckets, but its 18 in the first half was enough to stop the Prairie Stars. The Phoenix shot 47 percent (31-65), while going 9-for-24 from behind the arc. They also sunk 17 of their 20 total free throws and grabbed 42 boards to Illinois Springfield's 38.
Keifer Sykes recorded a game-high 22 points and six assists, while Greg Mays tallied 14.
UIS now turns its attention to kicking off the regular season with a home opener against Robert Morris-Springfield on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. at TRAC. It is the lone game in November that the Prairie Stars will play at home. Live stats and video will be available.
