The UIS women's soccer team has been recognized for its academic success during the 2025-26 academic year, earning the United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Award.

United Soccer Coaches announced the 2025-26 award recipients, recognizing college soccer programs that achieved a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the academic year. A total of 777 teams, including 451 women's programs, earned the award.

The Prairie Stars posted a 3.79 team GPA, the highest among all Great Lakes Valley Conference women's soccer programs. The mark also ranked second among all NCAA Division II programs and was the highest team GPA among public institutions in NCAA Division II.

The award adds to a strong year of academic achievement for UIS Athletics, as Prairie Stars student-athletes continued to excel in the classroom while competing at the NCAA Division II level.
