The UIS women's golf team sits sixth after two rounds of stroke play at the 2026 GLVC Championship at Rock Hollow Golf Club.
The Prairie Stars posted rounds of 314 and 322 on Friday, finishing the day at 636 (+60) through 36 holes. UIS is within striking distance of the top four heading into Saturday's final round of stroke play.
UIndy leads the field at 586, followed by Missouri-St. Louis (602), Maryville (620), Lewis (624), and McKendree (633).
Individually, Elaine Grant and Ira Joshi pace UIS, both tied for 18th at 157. Grant carded rounds of 78 and 79, while Joshi opened with a 77 before posting an 80 in round two.
Valentina Torrealba is tied for 39th at 164 (78-86), and Lia Rody made a strong move in round two, bouncing back from an opening 89 with a 77 to sit 41st overall at 166.
Erin Ahmadfadzir is 66th at 178 (81-97), and Yi-Ting Hsieh sits 71st at 190 (96-94), rounding out the Prairie Stars lineup.
The Prairie Stars will complete the final round of stroke play Saturday morning, with the top four teams advancing to match play to decide the GLVC Championship.
