The Illinois Springfield women's tennis team returns home Sunday morning for a non-conference matchup against Rockhurst. First serve is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at the Velasco Tennis Center at Washington Park.
Illinois Springfield (4-7)
UIS enters the match with a 4-7 record after earning a 5-2 road victory over Truman State in its last outing. The Prairie Stars took control early by winning two of the three doubles matches to claim the opening point.

Ema Norma Bordean and
Niamh Grogan earned a 7-5 win at No. 1 doubles, while
Jane Carter and
Cristina Mendoza Romero picked up a 6-3 victory at No. 3 doubles.

Cristina Mendoza Romero earned a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles.
Alisha Deogaonkar rallied after dropping the first set in a tiebreak to win 6-7 (3), 6-2, 6-2, while Grogan came back for a 4-6, 6-0, 6-2 victory. Carter also earned a straight-set win, 6-2, 6-4.
Rockhurst (5-3)
Rockhurst enters the weekend with a 5-3 record and is the reigning GLVC champion. The Hawks recently defeated McKendree 7-0, fell to Missouri-St. Louis 5-2, and earned a 6-1 win over Maryville.
Rockhurst has been led by No. 1 singles player Ella Coleman, who enters the weekend with a 6-1 singles record.
