The GLVC Men's Basketball Championship Tournament presented by LHM is set for March 5-8 at the Mark Twain Building on the campus of University of Missouri-St. Louis, and the UIS men's basketball team is headed to St. Louis as the No. 3 seed.

The third-seeded Illinois Springfield Prairie Stars (17-11 overall, 13-7 GLVC, 3.75 PRS) will take on sixth-seeded McKendree Bearcats (21-7 overall, 14-6 GLVC, 3.43 PRS) in Quarterfinal 4 on Friday, March 6 at 7:45 p.m. CT.

The Prairie Stars and Bearcats split their regular-season meetings. UIS earned a 63-58 home victory on Dec. 4, while McKendree responded with a 77-69 win on Feb. 7.

A win would put Illinois Springfield Prairie Stars in the 7:45 p.m. CT semifinal on Saturday, March 7, facing the winner of the matchup between the Upper Iowa Peacocks and the William Jewell Cardinals. The semifinal winners will meet in the championship game on Sunday, March 8 at 3:30 p.m. CT. The tournament champion earns the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional.
